Duck tours fire – 30 rescued safely

Posted on

A Successful evacuation from duck tours ‘Cleopatra’ was carried out this morning after the quick thinking of the crew and the quick response of local operators and rescue services.  The fire was delt with after the vessel was grounded by its crew as near as possible to the shore which gave those who jumped down into the water the chance to stand up and await assistance.   Three of Thames Rib Experience vessels were the first on scene and took all 30 passengers onboard back to the fire pontoon at Lambeth whilst the fire was put out and the vessel later towed ashore by fire boat.
